When completing your personal details, you will find an optional field titled "Tell us a bit about yourself". This summary will be seen by schools that might be interested in offering you a role. This is the chance for you to describe what makes you stand out in just a few sentences.

We recommend you include around one sentence on your teaching qualification, one sentence on your teaching experience, and one sentence on relevant achievements and skills.

Here are some examples of excellent personal summaries:

Example 1

Primary specialist with a BA Honours in Pedagogy
Range of experience including SEN - SLD, MLD and Autism.
Exemplary planning skills and accustomed to operating under considerable pressure, remaining calm and effective and prioritising wisely

Example 2

KS2 Primary teacher with ITT obtained from St Mary’s University
A passionate and enthusiastic teacher with experience of working with ASD.
Also has experience of 11 + intervention
