Setting up a supply teacher on payroll is the same process as setting up any other member of staff.  The only difference is that the supply staff will be paid on the basis of time sheets they submit.  The supply teacher will supply a HMRC starter checklist, their bank details and a Teachers Pensions opt out form if they do not wish to pay pension contributions.  Timesheets will be submitted at the end of the contract or if a long term supply weekly, these can then be submitted to payroll to generate the payment.

Timesheets will be paid on the day rate for the teacher.
